August 24, 2023.  I again talked with Dr. Andrew Lovato on Our Santa Fe, his radio show on KSFR. We discussed Fiesta and related topics. 

August 23, 2023. The Encyclopedia of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico was awarded a Southwest Book Design and Production Award by the New Mexico Book Association.

June 1, 2023 (Thursday). I will be discussing A Tale of Santa Fe at a meeting of the newly formed Old Santa Fe Association history reading club at Travel Bug from 5 to 7 pm. All are invited and the event is free.

January 26, 2023 (Thursday). I was pleased to be invited to appear on Andrew Lovato’s radio show, Our Santa Fe,  on KSFR (101.1 FM).

December 17, 2022. I will be signing books at Teca Tu in DeVargas mall from noon-3 pm.

November 12, 2022. The Fall 2022 issue of El Boletin, the Old Santa Fe Association’s newsletter, contains an article about the 1926 Fiesta. The article appears in its entirety on this website’s Home page.  

October 8, 2022. I will be signing books at Op Cit in DeVargas mall from 1-3 pm.

August 25, 2022. Garcia Street Books hosted the launch of the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Encyclopedia of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico on Thursday, August 25, at 5 pm.  The event was a conversation between author and longtime Santa Fe resident James Mcgrath Morris and myself. Jamie and I talked about how Santa Fe has changed since the Encyclopedia first came out ten years ago.

August 24, 2022. Julie Ann Grimm wrote a nice review of the Encyclopedia for the Santa Fe Reporter. The review is here (scroll down):

August 24, 2022. I did a talk at a Historic Santa Fe Foundation Salon event on August 24. The topic was “Conflict Was Inevitable.” I addressed the events of 1926, when Museum of New Mexico director Edgar Lee Hewett was challenged by members of Santa Fe’s artistic community.
